Leadership & Governance

Guiding our Kura

Our kura | school is guided by a shared responsibility to our tamariki | children, whānau | families and community. Our Board works alongside school leadership to support the direction of Te Kura Tātahi o Waihī, helping ensure the decisions we make reflect the needs of our learners and the community we are part of.

Our relationships with local hapū | sub tribes and iwi are an important part of who we are and how our kura | school continues to grow. Te Whānau a Tauwhao, Ngāi Te Rangi and Hauraki iwi provide guidance and support across our kura | school, strengthening our connection to tangata whenua | people of the land, te ao Māori | the Māori world and our responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

This relationship is also reflected in our governance, with a dedicated hapū | sub tribe representative on our Board.
