Throughout the year, our kura | school comes together with whānau | families and the wider Waihī Beach community through celebrations, events and shared experiences.
From Matariki | Māori New Year and community hāngī to PTA events, school celebrations and local activities, these are opportunities for tamariki | children, whānau | families and the wider community to spend time together and be part of school life.
Our community hāngī is held as part of National Volunteer Week and brings together volunteers from across the community. Other events, such as the Colour Fun, bring a bit of fun and energy to the school, with the local fire brigade getting involved with the fire hose.
These moments are simple, but they create opportunities for people to connect, have fun and share in the life of our kura | school.
