Learning grows through the people around us
Some of the best opportunities come from the knowledge, skills and experiences already within our community.
Whānau | families, volunteers, local organisations and community members bring different strengths and interests into the life of our kura | school. They might share something they know, support a project, coach a team, work alongside children or open up an opportunity the school could not create on its own.
The same is true of the people within our kura | school. Kaiako | teachers and staff are encouraged to bring their own strengths, interests and passions into school life, allowing the experiences available to tamariki | children to grow with the people around them.
For tamariki | children, it means learning alongside a much wider group of people and discovering different skills, interests and possibilities along the way.
