Part of a story that continues to grow
In 2024, Te Kura Tātahi o Waihī | Waihī Beach School celebrated 100 years, bringing together generations of tamariki | children, whānau | families, staff and community who have each been part of our story.
The centenary was a chance to look back at what came before us and see how much of that history is still part of our kura | school today. Places created, knowledge and traditions shared, and relationships built over generations continue to shape the school our tamariki | children experience now.
A book documenting the history of the school is available to purchase through the school office for $25.
The centenary also brought together a collection of material celebrating the school's 100 year history.
Today’s tamariki | children are adding their own part to that story through what they learn, create and contribute, leaving something for those who will come after them.
