Nau mai, haere mai ki te Te Kura Tātahi o Waihī | Waihī Beach School.
As Tumuaki | Principal, I feel incredibly privileged to be part of this school and the community that surrounds it. There is something special about Waihī Beach School, and people often tell us they can feel it from the moment they arrive.
Our tamariki | children are at the heart of everything we do. We want to know them well, help them discover their strengths and give them plenty of opportunities to find the things that interest, challenge and excite them. We want them to feel connected and supported here, and to know that their ideas and what they have to contribute matter.
We look forward to welcoming you and your whānau | family to our school.

When Kids Speak, Adults Listen
Our tamariki | children have ideas, opinions and strengths that matter. We want them to know that when they have something to say, we’ll listen.
As they grow through our school, they’re given opportunities to make choices, follow their interests, share their ideas and contribute to school life and the wider community. Sometimes those ideas even shape what happens next.

A Place to Learn, Grow and Find Your Strengths.
Every child learns differently and brings something of their own. Alongside strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, we want our tamariki | children to have the support and opportunities to explore their interests, try new things and discover where their strengths might lie.

Where Community, Culture & Learning Thrive
Te Kura Tātahi o Waihī | Waihī Beach School has played a pivotal role in the education of those in our community for over 100 years. We are a dedicated community of kaiako | teachers, ngā kaihāpai | support staff, whānau | families, who strive to create a positive and productive learning environment for children | tamariki. The kura resides in a geographical location that connects to stories from Ngāti Hako, Te Whānau a Tauwhao and a pioneering settler population. Rachael Coll is the current principal and stands proud in the challenge of building on the past, as it shapes the present and future. We currently have two hundred and seventy tamariki enrolled and strive to support each and every learner to enable them to thrive.
